Fabiano Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 65th minute, Caruaru FC's Aníbal Quirino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabiano Cerezo. Fabiano Cerezo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 71st minute Clóvis Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri de Queiroz hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when INFLAMENGOL F.C.'s Natã de Almeida fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Caruaru FC's zone, Natã de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson Diniz came out of the goal and Natã de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caruaru FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
