Thanks to some nice moves Júnior Velloso could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Fabiano Cerezo however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Raí Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. MMS Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raí Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Cerezo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Raí Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Cerezo having to interfere. Raí Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fabiano Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raí Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabiano Cerezo having to make a save. Júnior Velloso struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Fabiano Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MMS Futebol Clube. MMS Futebol Clube's Chiquinho Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã de Almeida in the 34th minute of play. Didi Reis's late challenge caught a MMS Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Reis helped the player get up and apologised. Didi Reis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Fabiano Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Lopez in the 45th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MMS Futebol Clube's zone, Natã de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiquinho Veiga came out of the goal and Natã de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

MMS Futebol Clube's Chiquinho Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã de Almeida in the 54th minute of play. The MMS Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when MMS Futebol Clube's Júnior Velloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raí Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Cerezo having to interfere. Clóvis Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Chiquinho Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Natã de Almeida took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Chiquinho Veiga to make any attempt to save it. Natã de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júnior Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fabiano Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Natã de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, MMS Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Chiquinho Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis Pinheiro. Charles Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
