Lords of Petrópolis's César Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Vascão Clube Campeão's goalkeeper Anselmo Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Mattin. Anselmo Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Paoletti in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Tande during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vascão Clube Campeão getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aníbal Tande hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Cesinha Paraense notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lords of Petrópolis's Krasimir Tanov. Krasimir Tanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. César Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vascão Clube Campeão's goalkeeper Anselmo Sabóia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. César Nogueira took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Sabóia. Anselmo Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Anselmo Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesinha Paraense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, César Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Sabóia. Vascão Clube Campeão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 60 played minutes Lords of Petrópolis got a freekick which was hit by Wilian Novaes. 64 minutes into the match, Lords of Petrópolis's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Paraense came free, but Krasimir Tanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Mattin in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anselmo Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armin Paoletti in the 70th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Vascão Clube Campeão got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Varela. In the 72ndth minute of the game Claudio Mattin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascão Clube Campeão's Anselmo Sabóia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Claudio Mattin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Claudio Mattin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lords of Petrópolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Mattin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vascão Clube Campeão's Anselmo Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Paoletti in the 79th minute of play. Vascão Clube Campeão's Anselmo Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Nogueira in the 84th minute of play. Claudio Mattin struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Anselmo Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lords of Petrópolis. Anselmo Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Oswaldo das Neves's late challenge caught a Lords of Petrópolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Anselmo Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Siqueira in the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Claudio Mattin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Sabóia was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. César Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Sabóia having to interfere. Lords of Petrópolis's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
