Spectators: 7269 (Terracing: 5453, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toninho Neiva kicked off to start the match. Paulo Fernandes's late challenge caught a Ibiam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ's Paulo Fernandes got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Osvaldinho Cardozo fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ's protests and gave Osvaldinho Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Cardozo. In the 11th minute, RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sandrinho Valadares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 16 played minutes Ibiam got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Berardo. Dráusio Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Denis Cercalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandrinho Valadares got free with Denis Cercalde in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Valadares in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Cercalde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valério Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Denis Cercalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldinho Cardozo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Denis Cercalde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attilio Berardo in the 38th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Ibiam's Fernan Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Fernandes in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Sandrinho Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibiam's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandrinho Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Cercalde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Túlio Carneiro's late challenge caught a RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The supporters of RETETÉ F.C - FSCMZ booed when Ibiam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Álvaro da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Ibiam's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Neiva came free, but Fernan Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Cercalde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gildo das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Cercalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Berardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ibiam's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
