The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Duarte got free with Sandro Couto in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Fernando Meira took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sandro Couto to make any attempt to save it. Sandro Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Duarte in the 69th minute. Sandro Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
