The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Monte Roraima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho Messias to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Valdo Vides could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which José Augusto Souza however easily saved by the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Monte Roraima's goal looked a bit too open when Farid Priem came free, but Falcão Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monte Roraima's Falcão Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farid Priem in the 20th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Sandrinho Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Roraima and the Murucupi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Murucupi booed when Monte Roraima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Farid Priem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Meira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Armandinho Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Murucupi's goalkeeper José Augusto Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armandinho Messias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Souza having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd minute Monte Roraima were awarded a corner. Anderson Soares went to the cornerflag to take it. Falcão Meira was a little too slow when Farid Priem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monte Roraima's goalkeeper Falcão Meira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Falcão Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes, Benjamin Capixaba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Roraima and the Murucupi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamin Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, one of Monte Roraima:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jaime Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Falcão Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murucupi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Farid Priem in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the game, Farid Priem lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Falcão Meira. In the 87thth minute of the game Farid Priem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monte Roraima's Falcão Meira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamin Capixaba was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Monte Roraima getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Benjamin Capixaba hit a great ball. Falcão Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Farid Priem's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Farid Priem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Meira having to interfere. When Jaime Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Murucupi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Vitinho Falcão charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitinho Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Murucupi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
