The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Germano Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chocolatal and the Statter FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Chocolatal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Quintal to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Anderson Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chocolatal's Dudu Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Secco having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Statter FC's Anderson Trigo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelinho do Valle. Marcelinho do Valle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Anderson Trigo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Marcelinho do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Statter FC. Váldson Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marcelinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Quintal went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. João Augusto Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jailson Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Germano Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Váldson Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anderson Trigo in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho do Valle saved Chocolatal from getting behind. Chocolatal's Marcelinho do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Chocolatal from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anderson Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chocolatal's zone, Anderson Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho do Valle came out of the goal and Anderson Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelinho do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anderson Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Marcelinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vânderson Braga might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson Secco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vânderson Braga ran back to his position shaking his head. Jailson Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Braga in the 71st minute of the match. Marcelinho do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute Anderson Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
