A collision led to Mutante Rex FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. William Montenegro hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Angelo Corrêa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mutante Rex FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erivaldo Penha in the 7th minute. William Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Marcos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AMÉRICO.FC's Angelo Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save AMÉRICO.FC from getting a goal against them. In the 16th match minute, AMÉRICO.FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, William Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Angelo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Erivaldo Penha came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Mutante Rex FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Penha couldn't finish the play. Mutante Rex FC's Erivaldo Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Corrêa having to interfere. AMÉRICO.FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Marcos Nogueira scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Corrêa, making the score, 1-0. Marcos Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Penha was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Penha in the 52nd minute of play forced AMÉRICO.FC's goalkeeper Angelo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Angelo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AMÉRICO.FC booed when Mutante Rex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Corrêa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Erivaldo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as AMÉRICO.FC's Wágner Aparecido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vinícius do Vale. That made the score 1-1 after 77 minutes of play. In the 84th match minute, Mutante Rex FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Penha to maneuver through the defense. If José Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, José Penha notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AMÉRICO.FC's Angelo Corrêa. Angelo Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When José Penha came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mutante Rex FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Penha couldn't finish the play. After having played for 95 minutes, Marcos Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mutante Rex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute José Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Mutante Rex FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
