Renato Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the game, Denílson Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gororos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOCA DO LEÃO FC the free kick. Denílson Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Renato Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd match minute, Gororos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Pires to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Betinho Pinho made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. BOCA DO LEÃO FC's Renatinho Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When BOCA DO LEÃO FC's Norberto de Salles in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Denílson Pires got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Gororos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Denílson Pires hit a great ball. Rui Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto de Salles in the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Renato Gaúcho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Gororos's Rui Coelho. Rui Coelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norberto de Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Jairo Schmidt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Coelho skillfully saved the ball. Norberto de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 56thth minute of the game Renato Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gororos's Rui Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto de Salles took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Coelho. Rui Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Renato Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gororos's Rui Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Gaúcho in the 69th minute of play. BOCA DO LEÃO FC's Bernardinho Breckenfeld pulled a muscle in his back after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 69 minutes, Cristiano Prestes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gororos and the BOCA DO LEÃO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Gororos got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Prestes. After 71 played minutes Gororos got a freekick which was hit by Jonas de Toledo. Renato Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Luizinho Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. BOCA DO LEÃO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizinho Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Gororos's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Gaúcho came free, but Rui Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rui Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho Paes hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Miguel Queiroz took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Coelho. Rui Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. BOCA DO LEÃO FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
