An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Nogueira in the 13th minute of play forced Monte Roraima's goalkeeper Falcão Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marcos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Penha was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vinícius do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armandinho Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Evandro Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evandro Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mutante Rex FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Evandro Gerber hit a great ball. Marcos Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Falcão Meira made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Erivaldo Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Nogueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Falcão Meira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mutante Rex FC's Evandro Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Penha in the 43rd minute of play forced Monte Roraima's goalkeeper Falcão Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Erivaldo Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. After 77 minutes, Sandrinho Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Roraima and the Mutante Rex FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Monte Roraima defense, Marcos Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falcão Meira. The Monte Roraima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falcão Meira should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that José Penha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão Meira was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Monte Roraima's zone, Marcos Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Meira came out of the goal and Marcos Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Mutante Rex FC were the better team. Mutante Rex FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
