Synthroid Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipuera the free kick. A collision led to Synthroid Football Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Edvaldo Urbano hit a great ball. Luizão de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão de Carvalho having to interfere. When Alfredinho Zonta fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Synthroid Football Club's protests and gave Alfredinho Zonta a yellow card for diving instead. Michel Sousas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Edu Cardoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osvaldo Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Breno Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edu Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Narciso de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Sousa took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edu Cardoso. Edu Cardoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 79 minutes into the match, Michel Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edu Cardoso. Synthroid Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 82 minutes into the match, Michel Sousa notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Synthroid Football Club's Edu Cardoso. Edu Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edu Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narciso de Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that Ipuera were the better team. Ipuera's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
