Spectators: 6987 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1350, VIP seats: 145) Manguaça's Zé Roberto Sabóia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Manguaça got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Neves. When Ipuera's Michel Sousa in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manguaça's goalie prevented a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Guga Carneiro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ipuera's Luizão de Carvalho. Luizão de Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Sidnei Braga managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Ipuera's Michel Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. João Adolfo Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidnei Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Michel Sousa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Sidnei Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 28th minute Michel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Sidnei Braga managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Ipuera's Michel Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Michel Sousa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Sidnei Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sidnei Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Luizão de Carvalho came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Manguaça's Guga Carneiro. But to his dismay, Guga Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Ipuera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manguaça were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Sousa in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Ipuera's Luizão de Carvalho got control of the ball when Guga Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipuera's goalkeeper Luizão de Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Roberto Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luizão de Carvalho. That made the score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. When Ipuera's Michel Sousa in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manguaça's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Sousa in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narciso de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Braga having to interfere. Michel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Michel Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipuera's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidnei Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Adolfo Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sidnei Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Dráuzio Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manguaça's Sidnei Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Sousa in the 72nd minute of play. João Adolfo Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michel Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidnei Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Manguaça's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Salles came free, but Sidnei Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Guga Carneiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luizão de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Carneiro in the 85th minute.
