A collision led to Barcelona de Itaquá FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cristóvão Araújo hit a great ball. Adilson Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Barcelona de Itaquá FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Araújo. Juninho Capixaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adilson Camargo's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Raphael Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adilson Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Raphael Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Barcelona de Itaquá FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustão Montenegro to make the kick off. Luís Paulo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. E.F JFL Palmares's Juninho Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Luz in the 92nd minute of play. Barcelona de Itaquá FC's Thiago Nistelrooy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Borges in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barcelona de Itaquá FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
