In the 9th minute, José Carlos Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Vítor Mello struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Agne Brogren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamandua AD. Agne Brogren made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Mello in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gilmar Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamandua AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agne Brogren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes of play, AMERICA's Silvestre Gilabert made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, AMERICA's goalkeeper Agne Brogren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos Saldanha. 39 minutes into the match, Geovanni Trevisan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Cearense. Jamandua AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanni Trevisan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Jamandua AD's zone, Noel Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Cearense came out of the goal and Noel Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Geovanni Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half AMERICA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Vítor Mello to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Gaúcho hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes AMERICA got a freekick which was hit by 宋迪潮. After 62 played minutes AMERICA got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Severo. José Vítor Mello struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Agne Brogren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamandua AD. The supporters of Jamandua AD booed when AMERICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. After having played for 83 minutes, Noel Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Noel Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, AMERICA's Dudu Breckenfeld ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Cearense. Júlio Cearense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Jamandua AD's José Vítor Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Jamandua AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AMERICA's performance. The match ended with a win for AMERICA.
