Silvestre Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian da Silveira having to interfere. In the 4th minute of the match, Geovanni Trevisan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Willian da Silveira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Flavinho Carneiro in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Caquitos's Dalmo Paraíba. Willian da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Breckenfeld in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, AMERICA's Geovanni Trevisan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Noel Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Willian da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willian da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Caquitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Willian da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noel Mota in the 28th minute. Dudu Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Mota received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Willian da Silveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Noel Mota slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 35th minute. Geovanni Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes Caquitos got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Campidelis. 40 minutes into the match, Geovanni Trevisan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Willian da Silveira. Caquitos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanni Trevisan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Caquitos's Aníbal Campidelis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Flavinho Carneiro in the 45 minute of the game. Silvestre Gilabert got in the 48th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Willian da Silveira handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Mota made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Silvestre Gilabert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Willian da Silveira. Caquitos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvestre Gilabert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Geovanni Trevisan took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian da Silveira. Willian da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Humberto Ferreira hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Claudinho de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the AMERICA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho de Amaral couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Caquitos's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Trevisan came free, but Willian da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willian da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Trevisan in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Caquitos's Emílio dos Santos got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Noel Mota who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caquitos's Willian da Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 minutes, José Paulo Soeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caquitos and the AMERICA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AMERICA booed when Caquitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Caquitos defense, 宋迪潮 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian da Silveira. The Caquitos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian da Silveira should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the game, AMERICA's Noel Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willian da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. There was no doubt that AMERICA were the better team. AMERICA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
