Kléberson Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Garcia having to interfere. Emerson Bastos's late challenge caught a Magu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. Emerson Bastos hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Thomás Costa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Reginaldo Camargo to make any attempt to save it. Waldemar Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Waldir Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Emanuel Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Waldemar Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Recife Pe the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Edgar Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Thomás Costa fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recife Pe's protests and gave Thomás Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Recife Pe's Thomás Costa got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Magu SC booed when Recife Pe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Costa in the 39th minute of the match. Emerson Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Reginaldo Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Décio Ortiz made a kick off. If Décio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Magu SC's César Brito got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Reginaldo Camargo came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Recife Pe's Thomás Costa. But to his dismay, Thomás Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 78th minute Thomás Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reginaldo Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kléberson Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Waldir Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Recife Pe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
