Liberteide FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamandua AD the free kick. Isaltino Catarinense hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when José Vítor Mello in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Joélson Loyola made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when José Carlos Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. When Zé de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Jamandua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé de Barros couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Liberteide FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Saldanha came free, but Joélson Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Liberteide FC's Diogo Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Carlos Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Joélson Loyola made a huge save. Rodriguinho Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. José Vítor Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joélson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Mello in the 29th minute of the match. José Carlos Saldanha scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joélson Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Jamandua AD's Gilmar Gaúcho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joélson Loyola. Joélson Loyola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Júlio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Vítor Mello to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes Liberteide FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Vítor Mello who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in José Vítor Mello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Liberteide FC's Joélson Loyola did a great save. Jamandua AD's José Vítor Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Vítor Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joélson Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Vítor Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Liberteide FC's Erasmo Moraes got a free kick in the 71st minute. After having played for 74 minutes, José Vítor Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamandua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Lima came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Júlio Cearense could save by the left post. In the 79th minute, Renatinho Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liberteide FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Júlio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamandua AD's José Vítor Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Liberteide FC's goalkeeper Joélson Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Although Jamandua AD had been in control for most of the match, Liberteide FC still came away with the win.
