The Válter Teles was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Cafu Bezerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Cearense. Jamandua AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cafu Bezerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The wind increased when Vicente Pirani made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, José Vítor Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
