AMERICA's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Silveira hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Patriota players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AMERICA were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noel Mota made a kick off. A nice corner shot did that Claudinho de Amaral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnaldo Coelho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind AMERICA's goalkeeper Agne Brogren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Branco in the 60th minute of play forced AMERICA's goalkeeper Agne Brogren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Abelardo do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Brogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Coelho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudinho de Amaral. Agne Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Branco in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, 宋迪潮 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AMERICA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patriota the free kick. 宋迪潮 kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Agne Brogren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes, AMERICA's Branimir Gošljević shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnaldo Coelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AMERICA reached it. Silvestre Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Coelho having to interfere. Agne Brogren came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Patriota's Abelardo do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Abelardo do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. AMERICA's Agne Brogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo do Nascimento in the 92nd minute of play.
