Gonçalo Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonçalo Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Recife Pe's Thomás Costa got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute of the match, Emerson Bastos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Júlio Cearense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
