Jijoca SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C.Vitoria the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jijoca SC's Leonardo Donato got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Edgar Dubilas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C.Vitoria's goalkeeper Márcio Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Edgar Dubilas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jijoca SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Dubilas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Dubilas to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Edgar Dubilas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jijoca SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Dubilas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márcio Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Dubilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Aníbal Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Szymon Prusinowski having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, E.C.Vitoria's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Dubilas came free, but Márcio Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
