The referee ignored Korokas's protests and gave Flávio Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of E. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Korokas's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Lopez came free, but Álvaro Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvinho Botelho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Rossi. E. C.Votorantim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Korokas booed when E. C.Votorantim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, José Pedro Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. E. C.Votorantim's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. E. C.Votorantim were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
