Álvaro Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The wind increased when Nuno Duarte made the kick off in the second half. Nildo Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Peres in the 52nd minute of play. Pescadores's Nildo Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Peres in the 54th minute of play. Nildo Paulista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fábio Peres's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. If Fábio Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodriguinho Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes, Geovanni Favoretto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pescadores and the Korokas players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Mesquita in the 72nd minute of play forced Pescadores's goalkeeper Nildo Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Korokas's zone, Percy Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Nascimento came out of the goal and Percy Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
