Augusto Chaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Váldson de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dito Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Mathias Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Clube Goianiense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Noturno FC the free kick. After 22 played minutes Atlético Clube Goianiense got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Santos. If Váldson de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Passos got free with Tomé Cordeiro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ademar Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Chaves having to interfere. Váldson de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Cordeiro having to interfere. Dito Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tomé Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Váldson de Lima elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Ademar Vides came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Atlético Clube Goianiense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Vides couldn't finish the play. Alessandro Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademar Vides was the one to do the kick off. Alessandro Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tomé Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gernando Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dito Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Cordeiro having to interfere. Tomé Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Lima in the 59th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Atlético Clube Goianiense got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Gomes. A collision led to Atlético Clube Goianiense getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alessandro Aparecido hit a great ball. Váldson de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Cordeiro having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Atlético Clube Goianiense's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson de Lima came free, but Tomé Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson de Lima in the 71st minute of the match. Augusto Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Dito Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Cordeiro having to interfere. If Alessandro Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Vides in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Chaves saved Noturno FC from getting behind. Alessandro Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Chaves having to interfere. Augusto Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Aparecido in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson de Lima in the 96th minute of play forced Atlético Clube Goianiense's goalkeeper Tomé Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlético Clube Goianiense players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
