C.Votorantim's Duarte Viana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauã Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexsandro Prestes in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agostinho Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cauã Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. E. C.Votorantim's Angelo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Prestes in the 14th minute of play. Angelo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Prestes in the 16th minute of play. If Carlos Augusto Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Delfim Romero fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E. C.Votorantim's protests and gave Delfim Romero a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the match, E. C.Votorantim's goalkeeper Angelo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Prestes. After a defensive mix-up in E. C.Votorantim's zone, Felipe Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Rossi came out of the goal and Felipe Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jofre's Cauã Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Lopez in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 played minutes, Jofre's Beto Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angelo Rossi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jofre reached it. The supporters of E. C.Votorantim booed when Jofre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Augusto Freire fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jofre's protests and gave Carlos Augusto Freire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Dedê Mattos made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Rossi. E. C.Votorantim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 49th match minute, E. C.Votorantim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Lopez to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alexsandro Prestes made the kick off in the second half. When Duarte Viana fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E. C.Votorantim's protests and gave Duarte Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Angelo Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexsandro Prestes went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to E. C.Votorantim getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Pedro Augusto do Nascimento hit a great ball. When Agostinho Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the E. C.Votorantim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Lopez couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Mattos in the 77th minute of play forced E. C.Votorantim's goalkeeper Angelo Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, E. C.Votorantim's Delfim Romero got a free kick in the 81st minute. Alexsandro Prestes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alexsandro Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of E. C.Votorantim booed when Jofre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Régis Pirani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauã Branco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Pedro Galvão got free with Cauã Branco in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Pedro Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Cauã Branco made a huge save. When Alexsandro Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Jofre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexsandro Prestes couldn't finish the play. Angelo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Mattos in the 98th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jofre had played much better football throughout.
