Kléber Velloso made a great header on Josefina's corner, it was just that L.Kings F.C.'s Dino Penha managed to reach the ball for a save. Gabriel Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Dino Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Josefina's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Ramos came free, but Rafael Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gugu Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Rafael Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Pinho in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Gabriel Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dino Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josefina's Gabriel Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Josefina booed when L.Kings F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Carlos Augusto Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the L.Kings F.C. and the Josefina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes L.Kings F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Arósio. Dino Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Gabriel Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Silveira got free with Dino Penha in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Josefina's goalkeeper Rafael Braga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cacá Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Josefina's goalkeeper Rafael Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Pinho. Rafael Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Pinho in the 80th minute. Renatinho Senna hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Cacá Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the L.Kings F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Josefina.
