The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Dias got free with Rubinho Damião in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubinho Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio da Silva in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Celso Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anderson Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Agape FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Hoppe FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Loureiro. Josué Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Josué Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Marques having to interfere. Josué Motta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Horácio Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Agape FC's Aloísio Arósio got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josué Motta was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Horácio Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubinho Damião was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Anderson Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Marques having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Josué Motta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ismael Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Hoppe FC's goalkeeper Ismael Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anderson Pinheiro. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Hoppe FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agape FC:s goal. In the 69th minute, the referee gave Agape FC a penalty. Ian Esteves looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ismael Marques. Anderson Pinheiro took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Marques. Ismael Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Emílio da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Josué Motta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hoppe FC's Ismael Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Hoppe FC from getting a goal against them. Rubinho Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Horácio Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Agape FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. In the 93rd minute, Anderson Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 96th match minute, Agape FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Agape FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
