The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu Pinho during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, L.Kings F.C.'s Gugu Pinho got a free kick in the 4th minute. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Raimundo Donato put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dino Penha. In the 13th minute, Raimundo Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Perebas FC booed when L.Kings F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denílson de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. L.Kings F.C.'s Dino Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Donato in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo de Medeiros in the 27th minute of play forced L.Kings F.C.'s goalkeeper Dino Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Raimundo Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dino Penha. L.Kings F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Donato in the 35th minute of play forced L.Kings F.C.'s goalkeeper Dino Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dino Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Denílson de Mendonça successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of L.Kings F.C. booed when Perebas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Chaves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denílson de Mendonça. Perebas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Donato might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Penha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Donato ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind L.Kings F.C.'s goalkeeper Dino Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. From close distance Raimundo Donato pressed in the 1-3 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 73 minutes into the game. In the 76th minute, Raimundo Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubinho Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Válbson Rocha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dino Penha. That made the score 1-4 in the 80 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Donato got free with Dino Penha in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th play minute Raimundo Donato came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dino Penha. 1-5. Perebas FC's Válbson Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimundo Donato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Dino Penha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dino Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo de Medeiros in the 91st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Perebas FC defense, Túlio de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denílson de Mendonça. The Perebas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denílson de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. Perebas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
