Facao AD's Percival Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Teixeira in the 22nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Percival Souto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 28 played minutes Sana SC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Medeiros. Edmílson das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmílson das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Válter Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson das Neves having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sana SC defense, Valdir Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmílson das Neves. The Sana SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmílson das Neves should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Válter Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Sana SC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Donatello came free, but Edmílson das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmílson das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Mesquita in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Bruno Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Facao AD's Válter Donatello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sana SC's zone, Válter Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson das Neves came out of the goal and Válter Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdir Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Edmílson das Neves made a huge save. Percival Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Gerber in the 78th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Sana SC's Cléber Gerber made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percival Souto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Percival Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Damião in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Cléber Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Facao AD's Percival Souto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute Válter Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sana SC's Edmílson das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Donatello in the 94th minute of play. Válter Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Facao AD played a much better game than Sana SC and deserved their victory. The Sana SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
