Galaticos's Ediberto Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percy Senna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas de Godoi having to make a save. Pedro Augusto Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas de Godoi having to interfere. Lucas de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Senna in the 12th minute of the match. Deivid Marquez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luizinho Amaral having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Deivid Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. FlaJoinville E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Neto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Tadeu Mineiro's late challenge caught a Galaticos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. Álvaro Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ediberto Neto took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas de Godoi. Lucas de Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Lucas de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Antunes in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Arlindo Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, FlaJoinville E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Motta was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Ediberto Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FlaJoinville E.C.'s Lucas de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Tadeu Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ediberto Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lucas de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Botelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galaticos and the FlaJoinville E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FlaJoinville E.C. booed when Galaticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galaticos's Ediberto Neto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 81 played minutes FlaJoinville E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Siqueira. Pedro Augusto Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas de Godoi having to interfere. Arlindo Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of FlaJoinville E.C. booed when Galaticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. FlaJoinville E.C.'s Lucas de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Senna in the 89th minute of play. Galaticos's Emílio Antunes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maurinho Siqueira in the 92 minute of the game. When Tadeu Mineiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, FlaJoinville E.C.'s Tadeu Mineiro got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Pedro Augusto Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FlaJoinville E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Galaticos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
