Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tiago Gabriel Campidelis kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel Campidelis in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Décio Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Mengão FC's Chiquinho Mesquita got control of the ball when Gildo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aílton Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Chiquinho Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Chiquinho Mesquita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 13 minutes into the match, Mengão FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gildo do Valle. Raphael Mattos's late challenge caught a Taboas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raphael Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. Raphael Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Chiquinho Mesquita came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Taboas's Gildo do Valle. But to his dismay, Gildo do Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Gildo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armandinho Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Chiquinho Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Tróia in the 28th minute of play. Gildo do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Chiquinho Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Corrêa in the 39th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Décio Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mengão FC. Gildo do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Aílton Tróia made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Corrêa took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Décio Santana. Décio Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 81st minute Aílton Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taboas's Gildo do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Francisco Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Donato during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mengão FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
