Spectators: 7309 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1679, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Fabiano Queirós kicked off to start the match. If Luiz Fabiano Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Bongo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Senna came free, but Raúl Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ediberto Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Raúl Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Régis Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizinho Amaral. Galaticos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Luizinho Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Bongo FC's Raúl Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Senna in the 17th minute of play. Percy Senna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raúl Godoi having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto Neto in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl Godoi saved Bongo FC from getting behind. Bongo FC's Raúl Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Senna in the 22nd minute of play. Raúl Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizinho Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Queirós in the 27th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, one of Galaticos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galaticos. In the 31st minute, Cesinha Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Galaticos's Fausto Neto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 35th minute, Percy Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galaticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ediberto Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Godoi having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ediberto Neto in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Galaticos's Edmundo Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ediberto Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. Raúl Godoi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fausto Neto. In the 55th minute, Ediberto Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emílio Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ediberto Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Edmundo Perez struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Raúl Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galaticos. After some careless play in the Galaticos defense, Marquinhos Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizinho Amaral. The Galaticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizinho Amaral should have stopped the shot. Bongo FC's Raúl Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Neto in the 83rd minute of play. If Ediberto Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bongo FC's zone, Fausto Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Godoi came out of the goal and Fausto Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Fausto Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Galaticos getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Edmundo Perez hit a great ball.
