Luiz Damião made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luiz Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Leal in the 29th minute of the match. Orlando Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Salgado got free with Luiz Damião in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cacá do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Farinna's zone, Rafinha de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá do Vale came out of the goal and Rafinha de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Diogo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualter Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Duque da Zoeira F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Farinna:s goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Leal made a kick off. When Rafinha de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Duque da Zoeira F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha de Barros couldn't finish the play. After 58 minutes of play Farinna's Wellington Sousa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Duque da Zoeira F.C. booed when Farinna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Diogo Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Damião. Duque da Zoeira F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 97 minutes, Rafinha de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duque da Zoeira F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafinha de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Farinna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
