Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes, Fausto de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ubanheira and the Leão da ilha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ubanheira's Eugênio Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Lima in the 5th minute of play. Ubanheira's Eugênio Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ubanheira from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Lopes in the 14th minute of play forced Leão da ilha EC's goalkeeper Túlio Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Leão da ilha EC's Chico Sanches seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Chico Sanches the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leão da ilha EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chico Sanches had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 17th minute, Valdemar Bittencourt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute Charles Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Bittencourt took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Túlio Fernandes. Túlio Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 26 played minutes Luan Sanches rounded Ubanheira's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Ubanheira's goalkeeper Eugênio Albuquerque had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Lima. After a defensive mix-up in Ubanheira's zone, Eduardo Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugênio Albuquerque came out of the goal and Eduardo Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Eduardo Lima made a precise shot to the right of Eugênio Albuquerque. Ubanheira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luan Sanches got free with Eugênio Albuquerque in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ubanheira's goalie and right to Luan Sanches. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ubanheira's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Lima to make the kick off. Eugênio Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eugênio Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Eduardo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leão da ilha EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Túlio Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Leão da ilha EC's Túlio Fernandes got control of the ball when Fausto de Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Lima in the 76th minute of the match. Luan Sanches's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugênio Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Leão da ilha EC's Túlio Fernandes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Leão da ilha EC from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, César Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Túlio Fernandes, 2-2. Eugênio Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luan Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Leão da ilha EC's Eduardo Nogueira got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rodrigo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Ubanheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Abraão to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Leão da ilha EC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
