Júlio Muniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Custódio in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Alessandro Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redstorm Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians Paulistano the free kick. Alessandro Linares hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Teodoro Alves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duda Coelho having to make a save. Júlio Muniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Túlio Leão managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mário da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Muniz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário da Rocha in the 57th minute of play forced Corinthians Paulistano's goalkeeper Júlio Muniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Muniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jo Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jo Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Redstorm Football Club booed when Corinthians Paulistano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Dida Queiroz suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Redstorm Football Club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Túlio Leão hit a great ball. Charles Soares struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Duda Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians Paulistano. Corinthians Paulistano's attack was well implemented in the 87th minute, but when Charles Soares was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Júlio Muniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 99 minutes into the game, Redstorm Football Club's Mário da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Muniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Redstorm Football Club succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Corinthians Paulistano had controlled the match.
