Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Tanhacu's Fernando Amorim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute William Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Artur Salgado made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Fernando Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Salgado was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. When Fernando Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tanhacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Amorim couldn't finish the play. Artur Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amorim in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Rodrigo Almeida got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Zé Paulo Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Leonel Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Rodrigo Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Leonel Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Tande in the 39th minute of play. When Luiz Eduardo Neto fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tanhacu's protests and gave Luiz Eduardo Neto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tanhacu getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Neto hit a great ball. If Zé Paulo Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, APCV's Otávio Bastos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonel Lopez was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Paulo Baiano to make the kick off. Leonel Lopez made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Zé Paulo Baiano sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Fernando Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Salgado having to interfere. APCV's Zé Paulo Baiano suffered a concussion after 76 minutes and had to leave the field. After 77 played minutes Tanhacu got a freekick which was hit by Durval Trancoso. Duarte Loureiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Lopez. Tanhacu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Luiz Eduardo Neto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. A collision led to Tanhacu getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Neto hit a great ball. Rodrigo Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Leonel Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lopez having to interfere. APCV's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
