The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredinho Travassos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enéas de Lara. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Enéas de Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gildo Porto went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Jaime Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Mattos in the 39th minute of play. Palame were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Havre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Godoi took the corner. Carlos Godoi made a great header on Palame's corner, it was just that Havre's Jaime Paes managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Palame's Rodrigo Paiva got a free kick in the 44th minute. Tom Boy struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Enéas de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Havre. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Boy was the one to do the kick off. Enéas de Lara came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Havre's Gildo Porto. But to his dismay, Gildo Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Havre defense, Wellington Mattos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Paes. The Havre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Paes should have stopped the shot. If Giuseppe Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enéas de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Camargo in the 61st minute of the match. When Mateus de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palame's protests and gave Mateus de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Mateus de Almeida hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Gildo Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Enéas de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
