Voturantim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Voturantim's goalkeeper Celso Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomé Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Armando Correia's late challenge caught a Palame's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Vaz couldn't finish the play. Adrianinho Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas de Lara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê Vaz in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enéas de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benê Vaz made a kick off. Enéas de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Many of Voturantim's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Voturantim may have spent more time on the ball, but Palame were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
