Spectators: 7143 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when João Pedro Vergílio took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, C.A. Catarinense's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Vergílio came free, but Arnaldo Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Duarte in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldinho Secco saved Caleksant LF from getting behind. Osvaldinho Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Sílvio Luís Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Caleksant LF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luís Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Sílvio Luís Rodrigues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that João Pedro Vergílio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo Teles was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Osmar Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Caleksant LF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Renato Motta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Amílton Fonseca's late challenge caught a Caleksant LF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílton Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A. Catarinense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Caleksant LF a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romeu Eger, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.A. Catarinense's Arnaldo Teles. 0-2. Caleksant LF's Osvaldinho Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Caleksant LF from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Caleksant LF's Osvaldinho Secco got control of the ball when Renato Motta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnaldo Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Vergílio in the 48th minute of the match. The C.A. Catarinense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caleksant LF were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Osmar Duarte made the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes, C.A. Catarinense's Fiori Marques shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osvaldinho Secco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.A. Catarinense reached it. A collision led to C.A. Catarinense getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Maurinho Velasco hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Motta in the 68th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Renato Motta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caleksant LF's Osvaldinho Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 72 played minutes Caleksant LF got a freekick which was hit by Fábio de Salles. Maurinho Velasco, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maurinho Velasco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldinho Secco. Caleksant LF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. C.A. Catarinense's Renato Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Rodrigues scored 0-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute Osmar Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldinho Secco came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Catarinense's Osmar Duarte. But to his dismay, Osmar Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Caleksant LF's João Pedro Vergílio in the 92nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Arnaldo Teles was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for C.A. Catarinense through an amazing save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franklin Vieira during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caleksant LF booed when C.A. Catarinense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Rodrigues lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Arnaldo Teles. The C.A. Catarinense manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Caleksant LF to win.
