Spectators: 7245 (Terracing: 5435, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Osmar Duarte kicked off to start the match. Erik Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Teles having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Duarte in the 6th minute of play forced E.C Corinthians Travassos's goalkeeper Silas Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Duarte in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas Araújo saved E.C Corinthians Travassos from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in E.C Corinthians Travassos's zone, Renato Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Araújo came out of the goal and Renato Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Osmar Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Lima's late challenge caught a C.A. Catarinense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Lima helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Erik Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When C.A. Catarinense's Osmar Duarte in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C Corinthians Travassos's goalie prevented a goal. Luizão Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Fernandes got free with Arnaldo Teles in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arnaldo Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Nico Linares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arnaldo Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico Linares in the 39th minute. Arnaldo Teles was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Erik Lima capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Lima really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Lima was the one to do the kick off. If Erik Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 57 minutes, Afonsinho Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C Corinthians Travassos and the C.A. Catarinense players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to E.C Corinthians Travassos getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Afonsinho Moraes hit a great ball. Renato Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Erik Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Araújo having to interfere. The supporters of C.A. Catarinense booed when E.C Corinthians Travassos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, C.A. Catarinense's Osmar Duarte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silas Araújo. Silas Araújo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Renato Motta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Silas Araújo made a huge save. Renato Motta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. C.A. Catarinense's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 83rd minute, Iuri Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Duarte struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Silas Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Catarinense. In the 85th match minute, E.C Corinthians Travassos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Lima in the 91st minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, E.C Corinthians Travassos's Erik Lima made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! E.C Corinthians Travassos's Nico Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
