The SouLofGold fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aloísio da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Guerra FCP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Lago to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Gino Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SouLofGold's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerra FCP the free kick. After 12 played minutes SouLofGold got a freekick which was hit by Gino Azevedo. Percival Salgado's late challenge caught a SouLofGold's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. Percival Salgado hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SouLofGold's zone, Igor Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Chaves came out of the goal and Igor Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hortêncio Prestes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Motta in the 24th minute of play forced Guerra FCP's goalkeeper Aloísio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percival Salgado struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Cléber Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerra FCP. In the 29th minute Percival Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Veloso hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match Jaime Pontes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléber Chaves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SouLofGold's Cléber Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save SouLofGold from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Azevedo in the 38th minute of play forced Guerra FCP's goalkeeper Aloísio da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Guerra FCP getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hortêncio Prestes hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Anísio Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Hermínio Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermínio Motta to make the kick off. With a little luck, Guerra FCP's Aloísio da Costa got control of the ball when Anísio Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. SouLofGold's Hermínio Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guerra FCP's zone, Anísio Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio da Costa came out of the goal and Anísio Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorian Antunes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Agostinho Xavier, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Anísio Fernandez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Laércio Macedo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Anísio Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Aloísio da Costa made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Gino Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SouLofGold's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
