When Kléberson Munhoz fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibertioga's protests and gave Kléberson Munhoz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ibertioga getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Pirani to make the kick off. João Augusto Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Vitório Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Paulista came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibertioga's João Bueno. But to his dismay, João Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 64 minutes of play Ibertioga's Kléberson Munhoz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 65th match minute, Ibertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Josué Schmidt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitório Paulista having to make a save. Ibertioga were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Maiquinique EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Josué Schmidt took the corner. The corner led to Ibertioga's Laerte Alves getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. João Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Paulista having to interfere. Maiquinique EC's Ulysses Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Fernando Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulysses Saldanha in the 96th minute. Maiquinique EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ibertioga had controlled the match.
