With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Monteiro in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Mesquita saved VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Valdo Araújo lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JATOBÁ F.C.:s goal. VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB:s Jailson Mesquita showed great skill when he stopped Alessandro Souto:s penalty. Luís Eduardo Paiva's late challenge caught a VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
