Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cláudio Pirani kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Hermínio Veiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo CRF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maiquinique EC the free kick. In the 11th minute, Roberto Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Flamengo CRF's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Leal came free, but Duda Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Flamengo CRF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the game Bernardo Valladares made a throw-in which Cláudio Pirani played forward. 22 minutes into the match, Flamengo CRF's goalkeeper Duda Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulysses Saldanha. Flamengo CRF's Duda Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pirani in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Flamengo CRF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Pirani in the 46th minute of play forced Flamengo CRF's goalkeeper Duda Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Roberto Alves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Flamengo CRF! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Maiquinique EC. Zé Roberto Leal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Duda Pimenta. 1-0. Duda Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Saldanha in the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Maiquinique EC booed when Flamengo CRF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Zé Roberto Leal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duda Pimenta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ulysses Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Vitório Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Aguiar was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Allan Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Paulista having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo CRF's zone, Ulysses Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duda Pimenta came out of the goal and Ulysses Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Hermínio Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitório Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
