But to his dismay, Moisés Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Godoi came free, but Jailson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11th play minutes Moisés Martins shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Jailson Mesquita and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Moisés Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moisés Martins in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Mesquita saved VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Machado came free, but Jailson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of EC Calango booed when VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Moisés Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jailson Mesquita was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the game, EC Calango's Chico Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jailson Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 38th minute, Moisés Martins made a precise shot to the right of Jailson Mesquita. VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Moisés Martins put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jailson Mesquita. After the first half EC Calango were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chiquinho Maia made a kick off. Jailson Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Chiquinho Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. EC Calango's Dagoberto Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Sousa in the 61st minute of play. Joélson Sousa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Chiquinho Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of EC Calango booed when VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Zé de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moisés Martins in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jailson Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. EC Calango's Serginho Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jailson Mesquita was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Moisés Martins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moisés Martins really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Maia in the 75th minute of play forced EC Calango's goalkeeper Dagoberto Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB defense, Moisés Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jailson Mesquita. The VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jailson Mesquita should have stopped the shot. Jailson Mesquita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when EC Calango's Moisés Martins shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-9 in the ordered_time% minute. Moisés Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jailson Mesquita made a huge save. Moisés Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Mesquita having to interfere. Jailson Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moisés Martins in the 93rd minute. If Percival Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
