Zé de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Moisés Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guilherme de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé de Senna in the 16th minute. Régis Alcântara hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Moisés Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atletico Malagoli SC's Guilherme de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Martins in the 22nd minute of play. After 27 played minutes Moisés Martins rounded Atletico Malagoli SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Percival Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo de Alcântara took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dagoberto Penha. Dagoberto Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Moisés Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moisés Martins in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guilherme de Medeiros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gonçalo Neiva was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. EC Calango's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Guilherme de Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serginho Machado in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Atletico Malagoli SC's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Martins came free, but Guilherme de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Atletico Malagoli SC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moisés Martins to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moisés Martins in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zé de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme de Medeiros having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Godoi in the 58th minute of play forced Atletico Malagoli SC's goalkeeper Guilherme de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Calango's Zé de Senna. But to his dismay, Zé de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 67 minutes into the match, Atletico Malagoli SC's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Teixeira came free, but Guilherme de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When EC Calango's Moisés Martins in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Malagoli SC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Zé de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Calango's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nestor Pires fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Malagoli SC's protests and gave Nestor Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Nestor Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. EC Calango's Serginho Machado pulled a muscle in his leg after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Nestor Pires got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. EC Calango's Ricardinho Novaes was substituted for Serginho Machado. In the 77th match minute, Atletico Malagoli SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Pires to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Martins in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Novaes notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Atletico Malagoli SC's Guilherme de Medeiros. Guilherme de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, EC Calango's Percival Teixeira got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Moisés Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Calango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. EC Calango walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
