Juvenal Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Moraes in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Ibertioga's Luís Fernando Correia got control of the ball when Léo Tepedino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sacramento's Hortêncio Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Sacramento's Gilson Pirani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Fernando Correia. That made the score 3-0 after 20 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Paes during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sacramento booed when Ibertioga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Ibertioga got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Paraibano. A collision led to Ibertioga getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kauan Arantes hit a great ball. Luís Fernando Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Pirani in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustão Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Josué Schmidt, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sacramento's zone, Faustão Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Azevedo came out of the goal and Faustão Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Sacramento's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Moraes came free, but Juvenal Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fernando Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilson Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Josué Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibertioga's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ibertioga getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Laerte Alves hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sacramento fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibertioga had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
