Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Faustão Moraes started the match with the kick off. When Faustão Moraes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dedê Ramos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Luís Fernando Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustão Moraes got free with Dedê Ramos in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Kléberson Munhoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dedê Ramos. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 27th minute, João Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ibertioga getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Benê Teixeira hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Benedito de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Ibertioga's Faustão Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedê Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedito de Andrade was the one to do the kick off. When Inácio Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hamburgo's protests and gave Inácio Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Inácio Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Faustão Moraes struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Dedê Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibertioga. After 67 minutes of play, Ibertioga's João Bueno made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedê Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faustão Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, João Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibertioga's supporters rose to their feet, but João Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedê Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dadá Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fernando Correia having to interfere. Faustão Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedê Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustão Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Laerte Alves's late challenge caught a Hamburgo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Alves helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Fernando Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito de Andrade in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Hamburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Munhoz came free, but Dedê Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedê Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Moraes in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Faustão Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburgo's Dedê Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Faustão Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hamburgo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ibertioga.
