Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nelson Tavares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nelson Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edinho Valadares went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Lúcio Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Kiko Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's Chiquinho Maia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nelson Tavares. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. Kiko Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jailson Mesquita having to make a save. In the 24th minute, Lúcio Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jailson Mesquita was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 29 minutes into the match, Lúcio Abreu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's Jailson Mesquita. Jailson Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mugiwaras AL FC's Nelson Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Mugiwaras AL FC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mugiwaras AL FC's goalkeeper Nelson Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Mugiwaras AL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Maia came free, but Nelson Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Chiquinho Maia made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Luís Fabiano Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Lúcio Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB's Jailson Mesquita got control of the ball when Kiko Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lúcio Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Edinho Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Nelson Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nelson Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Sousa in the 69th minute of play. With 72 minutes on the clock, Luiz Lucas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mugiwaras AL FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! In the 75th minute there was a penalty for VIDA NOVA ATLÉTICO CLUB. Valdo Araújo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Tavares. 4-2. In the 80th minute Chiquinho Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Lúcio Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mugiwaras AL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mugiwaras AL FC's Lúcio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lúcio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jailson Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
