The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Vitório Paulista managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Sacramento's Léo Tepedino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Pirani in the 15th minute of play forced Maiquinique EC's goalkeeper Vitório Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitório Paulista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilson Pirani showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Léo Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Vitório Paulista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacramento. After 28 played minutes Sacramento got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Pirani. Gilson Pirani scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitório Paulista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Léo Tepedino got free with Vitório Paulista in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilson Pirani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilson Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Léo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Sacramento's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Pirani came free, but Juvenal Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes Maiquinique EC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Ramos. Sacramento's Gilson Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maiquinique EC's Vitório Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Tepedino in the 63rd minute of play. Vitório Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Pirani in the 69th minute of play. Vitório Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Léo Tepedino hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Léo Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacramento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léo Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilson Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Paulista having to interfere. Léo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léo Tepedino took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Paulista. Vitório Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Léo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Pirani in the 96th minute of play forced Maiquinique EC's goalkeeper Vitório Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
